Welcome to the home of the Cincinnati's
Blumanchu!
|

| History |
|
Blumanchu
was formed in 2006 to bring the sound of
Chicago-style blues to the Cincinnati blues scene. The band
formed initially with
Scott Casuto
,
Anthony Sager
and
Kevin Munson
hooking up through Cincinnati's own CityBeat publication.
We were then able to expand our original sound with the addition of
Tom Lee
on bass and
Natalie Gregory
on lead vocals.

| Style |
|
One of our primary goals is to bring authentic and interesting
music to the ears of our audiences. We strive to deliver a musical
experience that keeps our listeners coming back for more. We delve
out of the mainstream blues genre into the realm of less well-known
tunes (though we still cover the basics with some slammin' arrangements
of well-known favorites). Most of the music we play is very danceable;
we guarantee you'll find yourself struggling to stay in your seat!
|
| |
| Influences |
|
We tap into music performed by a wide variety of blues artists
both current and past. You may hear us playing your favorites
by Susan Tedeschi, Smokin Joe Kubek, Coco Montoya, David Rutundo,
Eric Clapton and Roomful of Blues. Each song we add to our repertoire
brings together a tasteful combination of choice guitar licks,
blues harp (that's harmonica for the newbies out there) and soulful
vocals. Come out and see us sometime; we'll take you on a journey
through the history of the blues!
